New Kerio Personal Firewall 4.2 adds Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) that protects applications from being hijacked, destabilized or compromised by viruses or worms.Kerio Personal Firewall (KPF) helps users control how their computers exchange data with other computers on the Internet or local network.
Kerio Personal Firewall is a necessity for all desktop computers connected to broadband Internet, using DSL, cable, ISDN, WiFi or satellite modems.
Within an organization, Kerio Personal Firewall prevents a single computer from attacks initiated by internal users. Remote workstations and laptops running KPF are protected from Internet born attacks.

+ added Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS). HIPS prevents attacks that reach vulnerable applications from succeeding by blocking any illegitimate behavior attempted by the affected applications. This feature is available in registered version only.

- System Security was renamed to Behavior Blocking to meet current industry conventions.
