INSTALL NOTES:
1. Copy the files: cryptnet.dll
Loader.exe
SETUP.bat
tapi32.dll
from the “Platinum fix” folder into your “C:Program Files321StudiosPlatinum”
directory and execute SETUP.bat.
2. Copy the files: cryptnet.dll
tapi32.dll
from the “Rescue fix” folder into your “C:Program Files321StudiosDVD X Rescue”
directory.
3. Make sure you are connected to the internet when running Platinum else you’ll get
the annoying “Tristana” exception.

TROUBLE SHOOTING:
1. If you are getting a “Tristana exception” after the
“splash logo” is faded away then it’s prolly because
you ain’t connected to the internet or because you
have a firewall running which wont let Xpress do it’s
server checking.
2. This fix is for WinXP only so if you are on another
platform then you wont get this fix to work!
3. Make sure you have copied the right “Fix files” into the
right directory’s.
4. Also try uninstall everything(incl. Rescue) and manually
delete left over files, then install Platinum again and
implent the fix.

-Improved splitting logic so that most dependant Menu pieces are placed on Disc 1 to prevent most Disc 1 menu navigation problems.

-Added double-click functionality on the TitleSet tree to Preview.
-Fixed a crash problem in the DVD title Preview area when attempting to open two Previews simultaneously.
-Fixed a problem with shutting down DVD X Copy Platinum when the Preview window is closed.
-Fixed a problem with DVD X Copy Platinum not detecting a blank disc. (Some external drives may still have the problem)
-Fixed a crash when trying to split a second disc.
-Fixed a crash when trying to read from a quick formatted disc.
-Fixed the progress bar while the 2nd split disc is reading.
-Fixed the inaccurate “burn successful” message when an error had actually occurred.

KNOWN ISSUES IN THIS RELEASE
This is not inclusive of all the issues users have with this release. If needed, more will be added as they are identified.
1. Buttons are grayed out, namely the Browse button and some in the settings section.
These buttons are not functional currently by design, but the users sometimes think that it is a bug.
2. -R and +R media not finalizing and generates playback failures. (If you open up Nero, and close the disk session, the disks will usually play)
3. Movie title shows up as ?￠a???“MOVIENAME?on the back-up disk.
4. The Read/write errors, including the 99% or the 100% read error, is still occurring for some users.
5. Multiple instances of the Patin Coffin Drivers installed at one time.
6. External Firewire or USB burners unable to read/write on some systems.
7. On Win98 and WinME, the drivers do not seem to install properly some of the time.
8. Logic used to determine compression is a little messed up right now due to the way that extras and special features compress differently than the main movie.
9. Some users are experiencing this error: “Failed to initiate filter. Install all the DirectX filters coming with setup.”,
even though directx 8 or greater is installed.
