NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 Ultra (Detonator 43.45) Review
VR-Zone : NV30 is probably the longest awaited and widely discussed GPU architecture in the whole of NVIDIA’s graphics history. NV30 is also probably the most complicated GPU architecture ever designed to encompass some of the fine 3Dfx’s technology as well as support for its high-level Cg graphics programming language. However, the fact that NVIDIA was delaying NV30 constantly till they almost missed one cycle wasn’t entirely due to the difficult GPU design but other contributing factors as well such as low yield rates from the TSMC’s 0.13 micron process as well as stringent PCB requirements to support NV30 and GDDR2 proved more challenging than initially thought.View : Detail
