WinRAR 3.3.0 Beta 3

WinRAR is a 32-bit version of RAR, the powerful archive manager. RAR files can normally compress files up to 10 percent more than ZIP or ARJ files.Features include strong compression, processing of non-RAR archives (such as ZIP, ARJ, and LZH), long filename support, programmable self-extracting archives (SFX), volumes, damaged archive repair, authenticity verification, embedded file comments, and encryption.

New features include added extraction only support of BZIP2, JAR (Java ARchive) and ACE 2.0 formats, the possibility to use full file paths such as d:pathname in the exclude lists and -x switch when archiving, option “Append archive name to path” in the “Settings/Compression” dialog, new ‘E’ parameter for -ag switch denotes a day of year and processing of more archive formats (TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, CAB, ARJ, and LZH archives).

What’s New in This Release:

???· 1. Volume size autodetecting did not work properly with

self-extracting volumes.

???· 2. Combintion of -v -st switches could produce corrupt volumes.

Now RAR automatically turns off -v in such sitution.

???· 3. “Rename” command did not work in the flat view mode for files

in archive subfolders.

???· 4. Command line -f and -u switches could fail to work when extracting files.
