AMD 64 support in Win2k3 in the making, WinXP 64 2003 edition

Microsoft Corp. this Friday announced it has released Windows Server 2003 to manufacturing alongwith Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Version 2003 for Intel Itanium 2 processor. Even before the release of Windows Server 2003, people were curious and asking whether Microsoft is interested in releasing a Server 2003 version for AMD-64 or not.

Well … here we have found some evidence which shows that they do plan to support AMD64 when it comes out. Though a bit late for them. But considering AMDs slow release, its not yet too late.

This page contains Debugging Tools for Windows Native AMD64 Beta. This package will only install on an AMD64 platform so do not try installing on other machines. Noticeably the system requirement asks for AMD64 Windows® Server 2003.
