Hey guys,<br /><br />For php developing purposes, I have setup a home server. Now, I'm going to be perfectly honest with you guys. This server is not insanely fast, secure, or stable. However, it is decent, and I don't need all the resources so I'm willing to share. :)<br /><br />Currently the server the following installed and setup has:<br />Apache<br />Php<br />Perl/CGI<br />MySQL<br />XMail<br />SlimFTPd<br /><br />Now, the goal of this server, as I have mentioned previously, is to help me with my php development as well to allow me to learn more about server setup. The OS that it's running on right now is Windows XP Professional. I know this is not that good a choice, but for a dev server I think it's more than enough. I will be moving to a linux distro sometime in the future.<br /><br />So here is the deal. You get in contact with me, and I will set you up with an account as soon I can. After that you have 1 week to get your site up and running. On top of that you should be active at my online community. http://www.singularthought.com By active I just mean, post regularly. I'm not asking you for like 50 posts a month or anything, just some activity daily, maybe a few posts. <br /><br />You will be given this:<br />domain/subdomain hosting<br />reasonable amount of space<br />reasonable amount of bandwidth<br />reasonable amounf of mysql databases, mailboxes, ftp accounts etc.<br /><br />Note that this does not mean unmetered or unlimited. I will be taking a look at your forum activity to judge how much space and bandwidth I will allow you to use (min 25MB space/250MB bandwidth).<br /><br />As I have said, this is a development server, so I can not guarantee  100% uptime, but I will try my best to keep it online as much as possible.<br /><br />I am not by any means a professional network administrator or anything of that sort; just another high school student with a serious nack for computers.
