Mandriva 2011 - A new version of the popular Linux-distributioncode-named ?Hydrogen?. It was made most of the planned changesassociated with the user interface and desktop environment a built-inStackFolders a new program launcher and other features.

More than a yearsince the release of the last great version was announced release ofMandriva Linux release 2011.
Mandriva 2011 release was prepared by aninternational team of developers consisting of specialists from theRussian company "ROSA" Brazilian and French Conectiva Mandriva.
Submittedissue as never before has considerable innovations both at theorganization level user interface and the level of the systemcomponents. For example the transition to the package manager andsystem initialization RPM5 Systemd added a new interface to runprograms and redesigned various parts of the desktop environment.Revised the installation process: instead of selecting the components inthe installer installed by default formed the base of the applicationsfor which the selected one carefully selected and tested applicationsfor each task.
Under the new training cycle releases major newversion of Mandriva will be issued once a year. The base period ofsupport and updates are released will be a half years.
