K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.57 (Beta 1)

K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. It is designed as a user-friendly soluction for playing all your video files. You should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats.

- ffdshow is now the default H.264 decoder instead of CoreAVC. It is slower, but more compatible.

- IMPORTANT: Windows 2003/XP64 users should run WindowsUpdate before installing. Patch KB921398 fixes an issue that causes QuickTime to crash on those systems.
- RealMedia and QuickTime browser plugin installation is now also able to detect the Seamonkey browser
