Seems CSNation have decided to start the hype machine for ‘this weeks release’ of Counter-strike: Source by claiming that they have inside information on the release of the Source engine powered first person shooter (the same engine that will eventually power Half-life 2)According to a reliable source, we here at CS-Nation have been given information regarding the upcoming release of Counter-Strike: Source. We have heard that CS: Source is due for a release tomorrow, the 4th of October. It should be noted that the source has told us that once the final version of CS: Source is released, the BETA period will come to a close. As no official announcement has been made by those at Valve, this is purely speculation based on the information we were given, and the date is subject to change.
Naturally I would love for it to be released today at some stage, I have a late start at work tomorrow and there is nothing on TV tonight. Those 2 facts combined with sods law lead me to believe that it won’t be released, also surely Valve would give a little bit of notice before the release? As much as I would love to be proved wrong, I can’t see it being released today, tho I am sure it will be released at some stage this week.
