FlashFXP is a powerful and popular FTP & FXP Client loaded with features for the power user. It has an intuitive user interface that takes only minutes to master. Using the FTP protocol, you can transfer files from remote servers to your computer, or even to another remote server. It makes it easy to update your Web site, download files from the company server, or even download files from the internet that always seem to fail using your Web browser. It allows you to transfer files between two sites (FXP), resume incomplete downloads, synchronize directories, schedule multiple tasks, and more.

Yes, thats right…we’ve decided to skip version 2.2, and go directly to version 3.0. There have been so many changes and new features added that an incremental release just didn’t fit. FlashFXP v3.0.0.995 has been in testing for a very long time, and we feel it is ready for the final bit of testing and finishing touches.


  


  If you are interested in trying this new version, please download below. Since this is a release candidate, we recommend you install to a different folder than your current FlashFXP installation if you already have FlashFXP installed. Do NOT install over your existing installation, as it will “wipe” your settings instead of upgrading them. If you must install to the same directory, backup your settings, uninstall v2.1, then install v3.0 and import your settings. We also recommend that you only import your sites, and reconfigure your settings manually. While your settings will generally upgrade ok, there may be rare cases where this poses a problem.


  


  This version of FlashFXP implements our new installer. Please let us know if we can improve it in any way. Additionally, the FlashFXP Internet Explorer integration is installed with this relase, but must be manually enabled. If you would like to test this feature, from a command prompt run: regsvr32.exe “C:Program FilesFlashFXPIEFlash.dll” assuming a default installation. To disable this feature, simply run the regsvr32.exe with the -u switch.


  


This version still contains the version 2.1 help file. The new help file is currently being finalized, and will be ready for the next release.
