Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1.4322

An extra surprise greeted Microsoft Office2003 Testers as they received their Beta 2 Kits over the last few days, one which most wouldn’t even have noticed. Included on the Outlook2003 with Business Contact Manager is Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1.4322 Dated: 12/12/02.

Yet according to the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Redistributable Final Beta Download Page, the latest publicly available is v1.1 Dated: 10/2/2002″We will release the .NET Framework 1.1 to the manufacturer simultaneously with Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

The .NET Framework 1.1 Beta features improved scalability and performance; support for mobile device development with the ASP.NET mobile controls (formerly the Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit); support for Internet Protocol version 6; and classes in ADO.NET for native communication with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and Oracle databases. It appears with the continued delays to the release of Windows Server Family 2003, the .Net Framework Final has been held-up too.
