An unconfirmed Ahead Software press release is making its rounds on the net, revealing first facts on the next major revision of the ever popular CD burning suite. According to what is presented here it will be aiming at a direct competitve spot next to Roxio’s recently announced Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.

The PR also notes that an upgrade from version 5.5x will be possible for a smaller fee than the retail version of Nero 6. Nero 6: an improved and even more reliable CD/DVD burning software that is based on Nero’s powerful burning engine!
